This weekend saw us run a Family Cycling Day at Rabbit Ings Country Park. Our Go Wild Halloween Spooktacular saw families of all sizes tackle our Orienteering course around the fantastic parkland of Rabbit Ings Country Park in Barnsley.
What We Did for our Family Cycling Day
Families and children were tasked with finding all the monsters that had escaped throughout the park! Families had the option to cycle, walk or run round the spooky routes, collecting clues as they went. There was a shorter route for smaller children and a more challenging course for more experienced riders, with ‘Skully’ the skeleton hiding on the viewing point at the top of the hill.
Each ghost hunter won certificates and healthy treats at the end of the hunt and there was also a fabulous ‘Go Ride’ course led by Team Activ specialists for children to learn new biking skills and increase their bike confidence.
Each family had fantastic fun at the event and particularly enjoyed the Team Activ spooky station, choosing and dressing up in custom designed Halloween costumes!
We are really looking forward to our next family event on Saturday 7 November where families will be going wild in Cannon Hall Farm – a day of fabulous outdoor fun & adventure. We hope to see you there.
